Many customers feel confident providing their own labour but still need a qualified professional to advise or guide them. An idea currently being piloted is proving very popular. Some projects are simply beyond an individual’s budget, but once labour costs are removed, the numbers can look very different.

As a company adapting to new ways of working and delivering services, the on-site expert service was created. A qualified electrician attends the project site to compile a materials list, design the installation, advise on any tools required, and recommend which tools should be bought, hired, or borrowed. The on-site expert then effectively supervises the work, visiting at the start, during, and on completion of the project to ensure everything is compliant.

This approach provides the opportunity to learn how the work is done, take an active role in the project, save money, and, in time, gain the confidence to repeat similar tasks independently.
